Dire Symbols is the first entry in the Core Stone series. Based around a world where demigods and mythical beasts are hidden among the population, there is a tenuous balance between the guardians of the physical plane and the creatures of the astral plane that have crossed over. But even amongst the ranks of the guardians, there are those who would use their powers for their own gain instead of the greater good.
When Liam Douglass accidentally finds himself bonded to a Core Stone, giving him his own set of godly powers. Now, being hunted by the previous owners of the rare, mythical gem, and host to a strange being that is supposed to guide him in how to use his powers, he must escape his pursuers and unravel a plot that could undo the whole world.
